Because of your generous support, Friday Night Writes has officially achieved our goal of raising $1,000 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)! We would like to thank each and every one of you who helped us during this journey, from the authors who donated their works, to the artist who provided our graphic, to the readers who purchased a copy of our anthology. We were able to do this because of you. You've made the world a better place, and we're so grateful for your involvement.

Since sales have stopped and we have achieved our goal, we made the choice to discontinue publication of the anthology. Because of this, See Me As I Am is no longer available for purchase. If you're interested in reading any of the included works, we encourage you to follow the authors and/or reach out to them.

We've Almost Hit Our Fundraising Goal!

Thanks to your support of Friday Night Writes and our charity anthology, See Me As I Am, we have raised an astounding $951 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). We're so close to hitting our goal! At this time, we only need to raise another $49 to hit the $1,000 benchmark.
​
Proceeds from physical copies sold at signing events will be donated at the end of this month. Proceeds from eBook pre-orders and subsequent eBook sales will be made roughly 60 days after the purchase in accordance with the retailers' payout schedule(s).
​
So, if you haven't yet picked up your copy of See Me As I Am, we encourage you to do so! If you've already grabbed a copy for yourself, please share this book with others. Let's hit that $1,000 fundraising goal for NAMI! Together, it's possible.

It's Release Day!

Friday Night Writes would like to take a moment to thank our 18 generous contributors to the See Me As I Am charity anthology. This book wouldn't exist without each of you. We are so proud of what we have managed to accomplish.
Together, we've raised $710 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, $540 of which was also doubled. Your words, and artistry are making a difference in the world for so many.
If you have not already purchased this book, you can now grab your paperback from Amazon. eBooks are available on all platforms (except Apple). We are only $290 away from our goal of raising $1k! We can do this!

Please also take the time to follow our contributors. Remember health matters, both mental and physical. Just because you can't see the condition, that doesn't mean it isn't real.

Friday Night Writes is and will always be a free platform for members of the book community to come together and learn about amazing authors, narrators, vendors, influencers, event hosts, and more. We are committed to making sure it stays that way! However, running a platform like this can become very expensive very quickly. While Evie Black and Samantha Moran will do our best to manage associated costs, we wanted to offer the community the chance to help us make Friday Night Writes even better and expand our reach to new readers. This is why we have developed sponsorship opportunities!

As of now, we have a sponsors page here on our website. This page will explain what sponsorship entails in-depth and will also let us show off the wonderful individuals who have so generously offered to help us along the way. One point of clarification --- sponsorship is a one-time expense. We will not bill you on a cycle. If you wish to renew once your feature term has ended, you can totally do that, but we will not ask you to!

See Me As I Am Update
May 22nd, 2025:
As of last night, we have reached an estimated 50%* of our fundraising goal for the See Me As I Am charity anthology!
Our hope is to raise at least $1,000 for The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) with this book release. Thanks to you, our goal is in sight! We still have one-and-a-half months before the official release and intend to continue publishing See Me As I Am for a period of at least six months, so raising $1,000 is definitely possible!
If you haven't yet, please check out the pre-order page. Every eBook and paperback copy goes a long way toward supporting a wonderful cause and raising awareness of the invisible illnesses many battle each day. If you can't purchase a book at this time, promoting the anthology to friends, family, and followers will do much more than you know to put eyes on this upcoming release, too! Please feel free to tag @fridaynightwrites, @evieblackbooks, and/or @authorsamanthamoran in any posts you make. We'll re-share them and give you a boost!
